Saalbach-Hinterglemm
The region around Saalbach-Hinterglemm is known as one of Austria’s best cycling areas. With over 400 kilometres of mountain bike routes, there’s plenty of choice. You can choose between challenging downhill descents and relaxing rides with incredible panoramic views! In the summer, the lifts quickly and easily take you to high altitudes, so you always have enough energy left to enjoy the descent. Along the way, you’ll pass cosy mountain huts where you can take a break, enjoy a hearty lunch, and admire the stunning view over the Alps!
The Hacklberg Trail is a must in this area, a legendary mountain bike track in Saalbach with amazing views, fast descents, and plenty of jumps! The route is around six kilometres long.
Hochkönig
Want to enjoy nature without extreme effort or overheating? Then renting an e-bike is for you! The Hochkönig region is the perfect place for this. Here, you’ll find an extensive network of e-bike routes, including the popular “ii-Tour.” This tour takes you through beautiful scenery, starting in Maria Alm and leading you through picturesque villages, past cosy mountain huts and impressive peaks. A fantastic route for everyone who loves cycling! Thanks to the electric assistance, you can easily cover long distances and fully enjoy the surroundings. Zillertal Arena
Zillertal Arena offers a mix of different routes. For families and recreational cyclists, the Zillertal Radweg is highly recommended: a flat, well-maintained route of over 30 kilometres along the river. Since the bike path runs through the valley and is mostly flat, you only need to climb 125 metres in elevation. For those looking for more action, there are also challenging mountain bike routes in the mountainous landscape. Thanks to the bike lifts, you can easily gain elevation and then descend through the forests and alpine meadows. After an active ride, it’s lovely to relax on a terrace with a drink, taking in the views of the mountains.

In the National Park Hohe Tauern, you’ll experience nature at its best. Here, you’ll cycle past beautiful mountain lakes, through stunning valleys, and at the foot of glaciers. The routes are suitable for everyone, ranging from easy to intense cycling tours. The routes are also great for those touring on e-bikes. However, don’t rush through the park too quickly, so be sure to take time to stop and enjoy the fantastic views and the surrounding nature!

Wildkogel Arena
The Wildkogel Arena is known as one of the most accessible areas for cyclists, mountain bikers, and especially e-bikers. The region has an extensive network of paved bike paths and charging stations. One of the highlights is the Tauernradweg, a route that starts in Krimml, where you can see Europe’s highest waterfalls, offering a wonderful cycling experience over 270 km! The route takes you along beautiful rivers like the Salzach and Saalach, through picturesque villages like Neukirchen, Bramberg, and Zell am See, ending in Salzburg at the German border. The path is mostly paved and ideal for a family bike tour, with some light uphill sections and many downhill stretches. Want to go further? Then cycle on to Passau for a total length of 310 km!
