By far most skiers choose to go skiing during their weeks off in February. However, when you are not stuck to those weeks, it may be interesting to go in March, which does have its advantages! We have listed the mains ones for you.
#1 A cheaper skiing holiday
Compared to the high season, you can save up to 30 to 40% on the rental of a chalet or apartment. Some ski resorts have different rates during both the low and the high season. So you get the same skiing experience for less money. It’s a no-brainer!

#2 Fewer traffic hold-ups both ways!
When you avoid the high season, you will automatically avoid the risk of ending up in endless tailbacks, because the roads are considerably quieter in March. Snowfall is also less severe in those periods. All in all, you will have a relaxed and stress-free start of your hard-earned skiing holiday!#3 Enjoy perfect ski slopes!
There will be fewer queues at the lifts on the slopes too, which is something to look forward to, isn’t it? Enjoy fantastic ski slopes all day long. The past few years have proven that Austria does well in terms of snow security and quality in March. It is now possible to go skiing almost anywhere, anytime thanks to the major investments that are made each year. And finally, we also have three tips for you!
