This luxury holiday home sits at an altitude of 1,500 metres on the mountain slopes of Fanningberg and has enough room to accommodate eight people. There are three bedrooms with double beds, with one bedroom enjoying access to its own private bathroom. The living room also includes a sofa bed that can be used to accommodate a further two sleepers. From the living room, you can access the large terrace where you can enjoy spectacular scenic views. Furthermore, there is a fully equipped kitchen and cosy dining room adjacent to the sitting area. Don't feel like cooking yourself? You're only a 10-15 minute drive away from the village centres of Mariapfarr and Mauterndorf, both offering an impressive pick of Austrian restaurants.
In winter, you can roll from your bed and be on the slopes in no time, as this chalet enjoys extremely close proximity to the family-friendly ski resort of Fanningberg – a true ski-in, ski-out experience. There are two ski schools nearby, with one dedicated to teaching children from 6 years of age. Those staying at this chalet can enjoy 10% off lessons. Also nearby are the ski areas of Grosseck-Speiereck and Katschberg-Aineck, both easily accessible by car or via the free-to-use ski shuttle bus. When you stay here, you can use the shared sauna facilities to restore and rejuvenate after a long day on the slopes.
In summer, there is plenty to do in this beautiful Austrian region. Visit Mauterndorf Castle or take a trip on a steam train over the Taurachbalm, Austria's tallest narrow gorge. You'll also find plenty of places to visit much closer to home. Simply sticking around the chalet is a rewarding way to spend your time. Why not enjoy a sip of wine or catch up on holiday reading on the terrace as you savour the views, or relax by the natural swimming lake. Get to know your fellow guests at the cosy barbecue area. The children can enjoy themselves for hours in the playground with a large trampoline, nest swing and on the go-karts. Mariapfarr lies in the Lungau; a small, beautiful region of the Salzburger region. The ski areas here are appropriately small and attractive, although the 30 kilometres on offer pack in plenty to provide everything a skier could wish for. There are wide, flat slopes for beginners and family groups, while a selection of rapid steep slopes offers the more experienced skier something to look forward to. Mariapfarr itself is the most major town in its municipality, with a historic village centre that has everything a holidaymaker could ever wish for. Fanning is located a little further uphill, located within close proximity to the ski lifts that offer you an easy way to make the 2,400-metre ascent.
