In the middle of the pistes, with beautiful views, lies Chalet BesondereZeit. The modernly furnished chalet is situated at an altitude of 1,500 meters and is ideal for cosy family vacations. You can enjoy wonderfully relaxing holidays with up to 8 people. The chalet features three 2-person bedrooms, including one which an en-suite bathroom -- what a luxury! The living room is located on the ground floor, as well as a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a sitting area that's furnished with a double sofa bed. From the living room, there's direct access to a spacious terrace that offers breathtaking and beautiful views of mountain tops. After a wonderful day outdoors, take some time to relax in a communal sauna. The sauna can be enjoyed as a complimentary benefit once per stay, but after which, it can still be enjoyed for a nominal fee.
In winter, leave the chalet after a good breakfast and head for the slopes at the family-friendly ski area of Fanningberg. The little ones will certainly feel at home in Fanni-Kinderpark, and the traditional ski hut of Zimbra is definitely worth a stop as well. From Mauterndorf, you can easily reach other nearby ski areas, including Grosseck-Speiereck and Katschberg-Aineck. Both of the ski areas are within just a short 15 to 20 minutes driving distance via ski bus or by car. Besides skiing and snowboarding, there’s still so much more to discover. Try your hand by sledging, sleigh riding, or skating on a natural ice rink -- it’s all up to you!
In summer, enjoy a fairytale view from the terrace in the morning before actively starting out your days. Put on your walking shoes and enjoy the countless different walking and hiking routes that Fanningberg has to offer. Guided tours are also offered by many of the local residents. If you want to explore the many beautiful surroundings in different ways, you can try horseback riding, cycling, and much more. Not far from Fanningberg, there are several typical Austrian villages that are very nice to visit. The LungauCard, which comes included with your stay, can be used to enjoy discounts and various free activities. You don't have to go far for your holiday activities. Make the most of the sunshine, cool off in the natural swimming lake, or get to know your fellow guests at the cosy barbecue area. The children can enjoy themselves for hours in the playground with a large trampoline, nest swing and on the go-karts.

Mariapfarr lies in the Lungau; a small, beautiful region of the Salzburger region. The ski areas here are appropriately small and attractive, although the 30 kilometres on offer pack in plenty to provide everything a skier could wish for. There are wide, flat slopes for beginners and family groups, while a selection of rapid steep slopes offers the more experienced skier something to look forward to. Mariapfarr itself is the most major town in its municipality, with a historic village centre that has everything a holidaymaker could ever wish for. Fanning is located a little further uphill, located within close proximity to the ski lifts that offer you an easy way to make the 2,400-metre ascent.
