Just outside the centre of the small village of Sankt Margerethen im Lungau at an altitude of 1065 metres, you will find the apartment complex Residenz Monica. This apartment is located on the first floor and has a spacious, sunny balcony with a beautiful view over the alm of the Katschberg. The living room has a comfortable corner sofa where you can relax. The kitchen is fully equipped, while there's a dining area on offer for you to gather round at mealtimes with fellow guests. The two bedrooms both have a double bed and there is a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. One car can be parked at the apartment complex and there is a restaurant within walking distance of the apartment complex where you can enjoy the delicious Austrian cuisine when you're not in the mood to cook.
In winter the apartment is an ideal location to enjoy your holiday. The ski slope is in front of the apartment and the ski lift is within walking distance. The lift has all facilities such as a large ski depot, a sports shop and ski school. The ski area of Aineck-Katschberg is very family friendly and both novice and experienced skiers can enjoy hours of fun on the many kilometres of slopes. One of the most famous ski slopes is the A1, which is 6 kilometres long and therefore one of the longest in Austria. Alternatively, you can take a scenic winter walk and visit the castle of the nearby village of Mauterndorf. At the end of the day, you can sit down on the corner bench and enjoy a crackling fire while you relive the adventures of the day with all of you.
In summer, the Lungau holiday region offers many opportunities for a varied break and there truly is something for everyone! Water fun is guaranteed in one of the pools of the surrounding villages. You can also discover the beautiful surroundings on foot, by bike (or e-bike) and on horseback. Keen to soak up some culture? There's multiple historic castles and ruins, churches and museums nearby. Take up the challenge and face your vertigo in Outdoorparc Lungau, where you can zoom over the lake on the Flying Fox zip-wire or follow high climbing courses.
