"This pension is modern and attractively furnished, with various apartments, close to the pleasant centre of Mittersill. You will be personally and warmly welcomed by the owner, who is also the hostess. The complex is quietly located, small-scale and equipped with good facilities such as an Alpine Sauna Lounge with beautiful views of the fascinating mountain landscape. You can either rent the entire complex or several apartments as a group of friends, family or other company (for 40 – 55 people, including children using sofa beds). Located on the second floor, Haus Schnöll Family 3 consists of a combination of Apartment Top 6, Top 7 and Top 8. There are several kitchens equipped with all modern appliances, with dining and sitting areas. The comfortable sofa serves as a sofa bed for additional guests (maximum one adult or two children). There are several luxurious bedrooms, each with a beautiful double bed and en-suite bathroom. What luxury! In the modern bathrooms you will find a beautiful walk-in shower and several sinks. There are also several separate toilets. From the balcony you can sniff the typical fresh Alpine air, what a nice start to the day.In winter, you will enjoy yourself in lively and cosy Mittersill, located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park. The ski bus starts next to the apartment and takes you ten minutes to the Panoramabahn in Hollersbach, which gives access to the well-known winter sports area Kitzbühel - Kirchberg (Kitzski), with more than 200 kilometres of slopes. Mittersill is also a fantastic destination for cross-country skiers and hikers. A popular trail of approximately 2 hours is Mittersill-Pass Thurn, where you can enjoy beautiful views of the Salzach valley and the imposing mountain massif with vast glacial plains for which the Hohe Tauern is known. Other typical winter activities in and around Mittersill are ice skating, tobogganing, making a trip with a real horse-drawn sleigh and, of course, enjoying local beer and delicious Austrian food in one of the many mountain huts. What more could anyone want?In the summer, Mittersill is an excellent destination for beautiful hiking and cycling trips through nature, but the village is also worth visiting. The photogenic Pfarrkirche St. Leonhard from the thirteenth century is located near the central square called the ""Stadtplatz"", where, in addition to a supermarket, you will also find a bakery with countless local delicacies. On the edge of the village is ""Schloss Mittersill"", a castle from the sixteenth century that now serves as a hotel/restaurant. Definitely worth taking a look inside and enjoying the beautiful historic location! In terms of hiking, the approximately three-hour route from the Felbertal to the Hintersee is an absolute must, thanks to the steep rock walls, view of waterfalls and the possibility of dipping your toes in the clear water of the Hintersee afterwards. The lively village in the heart of Hohe Tauern
The village of Mittersill is located in the middle of the Hohe Tauern mountains in Salzburgerland. It's a popular place because of its central location between the Pass Thurn and Felbertauerns. The village is located in the heart of the Hohe Tauern National Park at an altitude of 789 metres and is part of the Kitzbühel & Kirchberg (Kitzski) winter sports area. Due to its central location, you can also easily travel to the neighbouring ski areas Wildkogel Arena, Zell am See or Zillertal Arena. The Kitzbühel & Kirchberg (Kitzski) ski area is snow-sure and a paradise for everyone, as there are slopes for all levels, and you can enjoy sun and snow from December to the end of April. Demanding skiers venture down the extremely steep piste of the Hahnenkamm while families appreciate the range of amusement parks and toboggan runs. And those who want to enjoy themselves in style have definitely come to the right place.
