In this luxurious chalet, you can enjoy a wonderful holiday in the Austrian village of Mauterndorf. The large home can accommodate up to 18 people! The first floor features a gigantic kitchen with a long dining table, so everyone can enjoy sitting down and eating meals together. The living room has a spacious sitting area, a see-through fireplace with an extra seat, as well as direct access to the balcony. Sleeping spaces are divided amongst six comfortable bedrooms. On the ground floor, there are three bedrooms: one with two double beds; one with a double bed; and one with a double bed and bunk bed with bathroom en-suite. The other three bedrooms are on the top floor: one room comes with a double bed, an ensuite bathroom, and direct access to the balcony; the second room is furnished with a double bed; the third room includes two sets of bunk beds. Last but not least, the chalet also has a wonderful relaxation area with a Finnish sauna!
In winter, this chalet can serve as a perfect base for those who love winter sports. Within 150 meters of the chalet, there""s a ski bus stop that offers rides to Grosseck/Speiereck as well as Obertauern ski area. Both resorts can offer loads of fun for novice and experienced winter sports enthusiasts. The Fanningberg and Katschberg ski areas are also an option nearby. Where you can enjoy fun tobogganing, the one at Fanningberg is even 6 km long! In addition, there""s an illuminated 500-meter toboggan run at the castle in Mauterndorf. After an exciting day of activities, relax your muscles in the sauna, or walk to the village centre in just 10 minutes. You""ll love sampling delicious, authentic Austrian cuisine at any of the many local restaurants to choose from.
In summer, enjoy a delicious breakfast on the spacious balcony/terrace before you head out. There""s no better way to start out the day than gazing upon a beautiful view of mountain landscapes. With a bit of luck, you might see gliders soaring through the sky since the glider field is right next to the chalet! A visit to SMARTY children's land can offer bundles of fun for little ones. You can also take a ride on a steam train through Taurach valley, which runs from June through September.
