In this 12-person chalet, you""ll have everything you need during your winter sports holiday. After an active day in the mountains, all facilities are available to get the fatigue out of your muscles. There are no fewer than two bubble baths. Or retreat to the relaxation room and relax body and mind in your own Finnish sauna. Recover from your sauna visit on one of the loungers after you have cooled down with a cold shower - so refreshing! Relax in the comfortable seating area or enjoy the unobstructed views. Once you""ve acclimatized to the winter temperatures, take a seat on the terrace while enjoying hot chocolate or Glühwein, and take in the breathtaking scenery. You can prepare a delicious meal in the fully equipped kitchen, which you can enjoy at the dining table. The sleeping accommodations are divided across five bedrooms - four bedrooms with a double bed and one bedroom with two double beds. Each bedroom has a smart TV. There are four bathrooms, two of which are en suite. There is also a separate laundry room with a washing machine and dryer that you can use for free.
In winter, after a good night's sleep and a hearty breakfast, it's time to hit the slopes. First, grab your warm and dry ski boots after leaving them by the ski boot dryer in the ski storage room. The ski bus stop is within walking distance and takes you to the family-friendly ski area of Grosseck/Speiereck or to the extensive Obertauern. The Fanningberg ski resort is also an option. If you’re not a ski fanatic, there are still plenty of other activities, such as a horse-drawn sleigh ride, a winter hike along the castle of Mauterndorf or ice-skating! In the evening, you talk about the adventures of the day around a cosy, crackling fire. After a beautiful winter sports holiday, you close the door of Chalet Taurachtal behind you, and you go home with many new winter sports memories. Next year again?
In the summer, it is nice to get out and about; there is so much to discover in the Mauterndorf area! Take a ride on the steam train through the Taurach Valley or explore nature on the hiking or mountain biking trails. Mauterndorf lies at an altitude of just under 1,100 metres in the middle of the Lungau, the south-eastern tip of the Salzburger Land on the border with Styria.
