Grünerstein Chalet Smaragd

Description

You will find Chalet Smaragd at the foot of the vast National Park Hohe Tauern nature reserve. You can stay here with up to 10 people. Of the four bedrooms, three have double beds and one a double bed and a bunk bed. You can relax by the fireplace in the comfortable seating area in the spacious living room, and you can comfortably entertain or play a game in the traditional Austrian dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is room for two cars under the chalet carport. You can spend hours enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the Austrian mountains from the spacious terrace, or unwind in the sauna of Chalet Smaragd.

In winter, you can enjoy the Wildkogel Arena family ski area. Walking from the chalet, you’ll step right into the gondola that takes you to an altitude of 2,150 metres. From here, you can make wonderful descents over the many blue and red runs. For the daredevils, there are also several black runs. If you’re not into skiing, go with your friends or family on a 14 kilometre-long toboggan run on your sled. After about 45 minutes, you descend again into the village, where you can recover from your spectacular trip in your lovely chalet.

In summer, you can fully enjoy all the beauty that surrounds you. You can take wonderful hiking or cycling tours; for example, a bike trip on the 'Tauernradweg'. This tour goes along the river 'Salzach', which changes to the 'Inn' and then to the 'Passau'. The total distance is 280 km, but of course, you can choose to do only a small part of this trip. A visit to the beautiful Krimmler waterfalls is also worthwhile! When renting this chalet, you’ll receive the 'Nationalpark Sommercard', with which you can visit these waterfalls for free. You’ll also get discounts or even free admission at other attractions. For the children, the freely accessible playground near the Grünerstein chalets is a godsend.
