Description
Spacious apartment for six people in a quiet location and stunning views of, among other things, the Großvenediger, Austria's fifth highest mountain peak (3,666m). This holiday home is in a quiet location, just outside the centre of Neukirchen am Großvenediger, a pleasant town. The covered parking space is directly adjacent to the apartment, and next to it, you will find the so-called 'Abstellraum', a closed storage room for skis or mountain bikes, for example. The modern living room guarantees pleasant evenings with your travel group, featuring a comfortable sofa and a dining area adjacent to the kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with all you need to prepare delicious meals. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed and the other with a bunk bed and a double bed. There is a luxurious bathroom with a bath/shower combination and a double sink. You don't have to worry about cold feet because the entire apartment is heated by underfloor heating. Another plus is the covered terrace with furniture and sunny south-facing location.
In winter, you can take the gondola from Neukirchen to the slopes of the Wildkogel Arena. Take the ski bus, which departs about 250 metres from the apartment, or go a short distance by car to the gondola car park. In addition to suitable slopes for skiers and snowboarders, the Wildkogel Arena also offers about 45 kilometres of trails for cross-country skiing. So switch back the pace for a day and enjoy the silence and the view while cross-country skiing. To set off with warm feet the next day, you can use a designated room in this apartment to heat (ski) boots.
In summer, you can enjoy the large garden with a small waterfall where children can play. The town of Neukirchen am Großvenediger is worth a visit in itself, with typical Austrian houses and cosy restaurants. However, the beauty of nature in the area is what you come for - beautiful mountains, endless views, cool streams and fragrant forests. Here you can walk, cycle and mountain bike endlessly. The routes are usually well-marked in this area. You can enjoy lunch with your own sandwiches and picnic blanket on an alpine meadow or sample local specialities at the mountain restaurant or inn. Those who want to learn a few facts along the way can go to the Habach valley in the Hohe Tauern, the location of the Emerald Trail, where you can learn about the many emeralds and minerals found on information boards along the route. At the end of the route, you will also get a chance to hunt for emeralds. Who knows, you might get lucky!
