Description
The Auf der Hoss apartment complex is located in the charming mountain village of Königsleiten. This lovely apartment is attractively furnished and has enough space to accommodate up to four people. The living room has a two-person sofabed and a cosy, traditional Austrian-style dining area. From the living room, you can step out onto the sunny balcony and enjoy beautiful views of the mountainous surroundings. The kitchen is fully equipped, ensuring you'll have no problem keeping yourself well-fed with delicious meals throughout your stay. In the middle of the apartment is a sleeping area that's furnished with a double bed. Because of its central location, facilities such as supermarkets and restaurants are within walking distance. A perfect place for daily shopping runs or evening dinners.
In winter, the apartment can serve you as a perfect base for a versatile winter sports holiday. Within walking distance there are two gondolas that take you into the middle of the ski area: The Dorfbahn ski gondola takes you to 2200 meters in no time and the Sonnwendkopf ski gondola, which you reach via the Märchenwald slope, takes you to 2000 meters altitude. In addition, the bus that takes you to the Gerlosplatte stops within walking distance. Besides the mountain station, you'll also find the starting point for cross-country skiing. You can hone the basics of skiing or snowboarding on the practice meadows in the village, or enjoy sledging with the children. If you don't fancy braving the slopes yourself, the scenery alone is worth heading out for. Planning a romantic gesture? Take a sleigh ride over to the Krimmler waterfalls.
In summer, there is plenty to discover in the vicinity of Königsleiten. You'll be close to the Groβglockner Hochalpenstraβe, where you can enjoy unforgettable views by bike or car. On the way, there are several stops where you can grab a snack or drink, and the destination itself offers an ideal starting point for hiking. You'll also find several playgrounds in the vicinity, which can keep the kids entertained. The Arena Coaster summer toboggan run and Arena Skyliner zip-wire are also on hand for high-octane adventures. When the weather is particularly hot, make Durlaβboden reservoir a destination, so you can stop for a refreshing swim or play some water sports.
