In addition, the bus that takes you to the Gerlosplatte stops within walking distance. Besides the mountain station, you'll also find the starting point for cross-country skiing. You can hone the basics of skiing or snowboarding on the practice meadows in the village, or enjoy sledging with the children. If you don't fancy braving the slopes yourself, the scenery alone is worth heading out for. Planning a romantic gesture? Take a sleigh ride over to the Krimmler waterfalls.

In summer, there is plenty to discover in the vicinity of Königsleiten. You'll be close to the Groβglockner Hochalpenstraβe, where you can enjoy unforgettable views by bike or car.
