In winter, De Suite provides a perfect base for a versatile winter sports holiday, located in the snow-sure mountain village of Königsleiten at an altitude of 1600 meters. Within walking distance are two cable cars that take you right into the Zillertal Arena ski area: The Dorfbahn ski cable car takes you to 2200 meters in no time, and with the Sonnwendkopf ski cable car, reachable via the Märchenwaldpiste, you reach an altitude of 2000 meters. Additionally, within walking distance is the bus that takes you to the Gerlosplatte. The extensive Zillertal Arena ski area includes many kilometres of slopes for both experienced and less experienced winter sports enthusiasts, and there are also various options for cross-country skiing enthusiasts. On the practice slopes in the village, you can practice the basics of skiing or snowboarding or go sledding with the children. You can also leave the ski slopes for a beautiful winter hike or take a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride to the Krimml Waterfalls. After all the exertion, you can use a hearty meal; for this, the numerous restaurants provide a refuge where you can enjoy delicious Austrian cuisine.

In summer, there is plenty to discover in the surroundings of Königsleiten. You are close to the panoramic Großglockner High Alpine Road, where you can enjoy unforgettable views by both bike and car. Along the way, there are various stops for a snack and a drink, as a starting point for beautiful hikes, and there are several playgrounds for children. For more action, you can try the Arena Coaster summer toboggan run or the Arena Skyliner zip line. On warm summer days, the Durlaßboden reservoir offers refreshment, where you can swim, row, sail, and surf! Here, both young and old can have a great time all day long. The playground next to the lake provides fun for younger children, and there is the possibility of barbecuing. You couldn't end a summer day better.

From late afternoon onwards, you’ve plenty to keep you occupied and entertained in the vicinity. On the slopes and in the village, a hearty après-ski begins early, with no excuses for not joining in with the party atmosphere. At an altitude of 1600 metres, the village is even higher than the Gerlos Pass! Ideal for slope fanatics and lovers of romantic mountain panoramas. The snow-capped peaks slowly turn green as the summer temperatures settle in, while the Hohe Tauern National Park (one of the largest in Europe) provides you with plenty of ground to cover when you’re out exploring.
