In winter, Königsleiten is at its best. The village is the ultimate winter sports destination. From the apartment, you can effortlessly glide onto the Eberharter slope, while enjoying a beautiful view of the practice slope from your balcony, where the little ones take their first ski lessons. Amidst the vast ski area of the Zillertal Arena, both seasoned and novice winter sports enthusiasts will find endless entertainment. Explore picturesque day trips, refine your techniques on the practice field, indulge in delicious Austrian treats in a mountain hut, and end the day with an unforgettable après-ski experience. For variety in the winter sports routine, Königsleiten also offers beautiful winter hiking trails, including educational routes like the planet route. Königsleiten not only provides a top location for winter sports but also offers an engaging mix of natural beauty and cultural discoveries.

In summer, you can enjoy the sun on your balcony almost all day, as Königsleiten, and therefore Haus Mees, is situated high in the mountains. There is plenty to do for both young and old. The surroundings of the apartment are ideal for peaceful activities such as hiking and cycling through the beautiful Alpine meadows. For water fun with the family, head to the GipfelLiner at Kröndlwurmsee or to the reservoir Durlaßboden located at an altitude of 1400 meters. This lake is home to the highest surf school in Austria! Additionally, you can sail, swim, and canoe there. If you're not a water enthusiast, you can simply dive into a good book by the water's edge. For a more adventurous activity, take a ride on the Alpine Coaster, as it features a 3.5 km long toboggan run where you can reach speeds of up to 40 km per hour! The active holidaymaker seeking an adrenaline rush can satisfy their cravings with activities such as parasailing, mountain climbing, or canyoning in the surrounding area.

In Königsleiten you’re right in the middle of the action: During the day, sunny, snow-sure ski areas begin right on your doorstep. From late afternoon onwards, you’ve plenty to keep you occupied and entertained in the vicinity. On the slopes and in the village, a hearty après-ski begins early, with no excuses for not joining in with the party atmosphere. At an altitude of 1600 metres, the village is even higher than the Gerlos Pass! Ideal for slope fanatics and lovers of romantic mountain panoramas. This charming village sits at an altitude of approximately 1,600 metres, making it an incredibly popular destination for ski lovers and snowboarders. However, outside of the winter months, there’s plenty to love about Königsleiten. It’s an ideal summer holiday destination, with all you need to kick back, relax and unwind. Alternatively, adventure is never far away when you enjoy a summertime break here. Lying on the border between Tyrol and Salzburgerland, the views are really something here. The snow-capped peaks slowly turn green as the summer temperatures settle in, while the Hohe Tauern National Park (one of the largest in Europe) provides you with plenty of ground to cover when you’re out exploring.
