Schöneben Bauernhaus Ost

Description

Chalet Bauernhaus resembles, as the name suggests, an authentic Austrian farmhouse (a Bauernhau) and is part of the Schöneben holiday village in the pleasant village of Wald im Pinzgau. This is a family holiday park where fun and tranquility are paramount. Bauernhaus OST is the right half of this holiday home and can accommodate up to twelve people. The living room has a comfortable sofa, fully equipped kitchen and a large dining table, ideal for long cosy evenings with the fireplace. There are three bedrooms with a double bed; one bedroom has an extra bunk bed. The other two bedrooms have two single beds pushed together. Start the morning with a cup of coffee or tea in the sunshine on one of the two balconies or the terrace while admiring the views over the valley and the mountains. As icing on the cake, there is a large relaxation room with a Finnish sauna where you can unwind after an active day in the Austrian countryside. The chalet is located on a small car-free square and close to the covered parking garage with space for three cars.

In winter, your group can gather in front of the house, load your equipment into cars or the ski bus and head off to the pistes of the larger Zillertal Arena or the family ski area at the Wildkogel Arena. The Wildkogel is family-friendly with many facilities for children, while the Zillertal Arena’s many kilometres of ski slopes are more suitable for dedicated winter sports enthusiasts. Once back in the chalet at the end of the day, both fireplaces can be lit to enhance the comfortable atmosphere, while a meal for the whole group can be prepared in the two kitchens. Then afterwards, everyone can enjoy dining together. And later, there will be time to sit back in front of the TV or enjoy a muscle-relaxing sauna so you can be up bright and early, ready to enjoy some fresh snow the following day!

In summer, there’s is plenty to do in this part of Austria. Walking, cycling, rafting, mountain climbing, multi-day tours or just relaxing on the terrace with a drink while the children enjoy some fun in the nearby Kristall swimming pool. A ride up the mountain in the gondola lift at the nearby village of Neukirchen is also an absolute must. Once you've reached the summit, at an impressive 2,100 metres, you can walk about and enjoy the magnificent views while the children let off some steam in the large playground. As another alternative, you could visit the Krimmler waterfalls which form Europe's highest tiered waterfall and are a real must-see!
