Description
Get away from the hectic pace of daily life while staying in the holiday Chalet Escape. This stunning, detached Austrian chalet is located in the quiet village of Wald im Pinzgau and is part of the Schöneben holiday village. This is a family holiday park where fun and tranquility are paramount. Chalet Escape can accommodate up to 6 people – or 7 people on request. There is a cosy living room with a fully equipped kitchen, a typical Austrian dining area and a comfortable sitting room with TV. You’ll find a balcony and a large terrace where you can enjoy scenic views over the Wald im Pinzgau valley. This also provides the perfect place to enjoy a brilliant breakfast or nightcap. There are three bedrooms in this property, two with a double bed and one with bunk beds and a pull-out trundle bed. There is space outside the chalet to park one car under the carport.
In winter, with a Zillertal Arena ski pass you can head off to the two ski areas which can be easily reached from chalet Escape via the (free) ski bus or travelling in your own car. The ski bus stops near the chalet and takes you to the Zillertal Arena. the larger ski complex, or to the Wildkogel Arena which is a family-friendly ski area. After a day on the slopes, you can relax in the Kristall swimming pool at Wald im Pinzgau, which offers free entry to all chalet guests during their stay. And for an extra charge, you can also use the wellness area and its various saunas. Then later, you can spend cosy winter evenings gathered around the chalet Escape’s traditional fireplace with your family and friends.
In summer, there’s never time to get bored in this beautiful mountain region. Explore the Hohe Tauern National Park nature reserve, either on foot or by bicycle. You must also visit the awe-inspiring Krimmler waterfall. This is Europe’s highest tiered waterfall, and is only a 15-minute drive from chalet Escape, or an hours’ walk if you follow the glorious walking trail. Alternatively, it’s easy to take a ride on the newly restored Pinzgauer Lokalbahn train to get out and explore the surrounding villages or the town of Zell am See. Bikes are allowed on the train, so you could even combine your cycle tour with a train journey!

Wald im Pinzgau is located in Oberpinzgau at the foot of the Gerlos Pass on the border between Salzburg and Tyrol, sitting at an altitude of approximately 900 metres. Wald is a pretty little village with a cosy atmosphere that forms a community together with Königsleiten. From December to the end of April you can enjoy sun and snow here.
