At Chalet Schöneck, you;ll find more than ample space to comfortably accommodate up to 8 people. It's truly an ideal place to stay if you're looking for a memorable Austrian getaway. Located in the southern village of Wald im Pinzgau and is part of the Schöneben holiday village. This is a family holiday park where fun and tranquility are paramount. This detached chalet offers plenty of Austrian character. For instance, there’s a typical Austrian-style dining area and a traditional Austrian ‘Kachelofen’ fire. You can relax in the living room which has a comfortable seating area and there is a fully equipped kitchen. The balcony and terrace offer magnificent views of the stunning mountain landscape. There are three bedrooms altogether, two with a double bed and one with a double bed and bunk beds. You’ll find there are two bathrooms, one of which has a full-length bath where you can enjoy a relaxing soak after a long active day in the mountains. And if you enjoy swimming, the Kristall swimming pool at Wald im Pinzgau is nearby, with free entry throughout the duration of your stay.
In winter, Chalet Schöneck serves as a comfortable home from home and provides easy access to two popular ski resorts. The Zillertal Arena and the Wildkogel Arena each provide a menu of snow sports and are easily accessible by car. For those without private transport, there's also a complimentary ski shuttle service that has a stop within easy walking distance of the chalet. Other winter activities such as snowshoe hiking, cross-country skiing, or going on a romantic torchlight hike to the Krimmler waterfalls, are also highly recommended during your winter sports holiday in Wald im Pinzgau. At the end of the day, you can heat up the stove to provide some extra warmth and cosiness and enjoy all the comforts your chalet has to offer.
In summer, you can enjoy a cool drink or a bite to eat outside on the balcony while taking in the absolutely breathtaking mountain scenery. Direct from your chalet, you can set out to explore one of the many nearby walking trails and cycle routes to discover even more about Austria’s wonderful natural environment. Or you could take a day trip to Zell am See, or one of the surrounding villages, on the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn railway. There’s also plenty for the children to do! They could visit the WasserWunderWelt theme park – located at the Krimmler waterfalls – to learn all about water, or try the Kristall swimming pool for hours of great water fun. Wald im Pinzgau is located in Oberpinzgau at the foot of the Gerlos Pass on the border between Salzburg and Tyrol, sitting at an altitude of approximately 900 metres. Wald is a pretty little village with a cosy atmosphere that forms a community together with Königsleiten. From December to the end of April you can enjoy sun and snow here.
