Description
The Haus Gernkogel maisonette is located in the village of Wald im Pinzgau, in the Salzburg region. Haus Gernkogel is part of the Schöneben holiday village. This is a family holiday park where fun and tranquility are paramount. There is a spacious sitting area with lots of room to relax, and an open kitchen with a typical Austrian seating area. The property’s large window sections provide access to the south-facing balcony where you can enjoy stunning views of the landscape And because a secure stair gate has been fitted at the top of the stairs, this maisonette is particularly suitable for young families. The Haus Gernkogel can comfortably accommodate up to 10 people in a total of three bedrooms. One bedroom has a double bed, and two others are equipped with a double bed and a bunk bed. Would the children like to have a swim? Or are you ready for a relaxing dip yourself? During your stay at Haus Gernkogel you also have free entry to the adjacent Kristall swimming pool!
In winter, you will be spoilt for choice because this maisonette is located halfway between two ski resorts. So you can have fun at the Zillertal Arena, a popular ski complex with many kilometres of slopes, or visit the Wildkogel Arena, a ski area which is particularly popular with families because it has many facilities for children. Both venues have a variety of slopes to suit both novices and experienced winter sports enthusiasts. The free ski bus which serves these two ski areas is within easy walking distance. You could also use your own vehicle (or hire car), and the Haus Gernkogel has a covered parking area with room for two cars. At the end of a long day out in the snow, your party can warm up again by gathering together near the cosy wood-burning stove.
In summer, you can travel out from Wald in Pinzgau in all directions to enjoy various summer activities. Try taking the ski lift up the mountain from the neighbouring village of Neukirchen. You’ll find a wonderful walk up there and a spacious playground where the children can play. There’s even a wonderful mountain restaurant with a superb view over the valley. Within 15 minutes, you can reach the famous Krimmler waterfalls, as well as the WasserWunderWelt theme park which explains everything about how water works in the mountains. In short, there are plenty of things to do in the area! But, of course, at Haus Gernkogel you can also simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere and the magnificent views.
