Description
The comfortable Heidi's Alm Hutte chalet, located at the foot of the Hohe Tauern National Park, is part of the Schöneben holiday village. This is a family holiday park where fun and tranquility are paramount. The premier Austrian holiday home has space for up to 9 guests, with sleeping quarters split across four bedrooms. Three bedrooms have a double bed apiece, while the fourth bedroom has a bunk bed and a pull-out trundle bed. From the living room, you can enjoy fabulous views of the natural landscape, and there is a fully equipped kitchen with all the conveniences you need, plus a typical Austrian-style dining area. The large glass frontage leads to a sunny balcony and terrace with south-facing views, which also offer an ideal venue for al fresco dining. During your stay at Heidi’s Alm Hütte chalet, you get free entry to the nearby Kristall swimming pool at Wald im Pinzgau – a fun option for the children, and a refreshing swim for the adults. There is room to park two cars in the chalet’s covered parking space.
In winter, Heidi’s Alm Hütte chalet is located halfway between two ski resorts: the Zillertal Arena and the Wildkogel Arena. Your ski pass will give you free travel on the ski bus to either of these two venues, and there is a bus stop within comfortable walking distance. You can also begin a wonderful winter walk direct from your holiday home. And for a special treat, you could try a torchlight hike: Once a week this starts from the village of Krimml and ends at the Krimmler waterfalls – a truly magical experience! At the end of a long days’ winter sports, you’ll be ready to enjoy a warm, refreshing private sauna. And afterwards, your party can gather to chat around the wood-burning stove. What better way to end the day!
In summer, you can start each day with a great view over the stunning mountain landscape. Can you already see yourself sitting on the lovely south-facing balcony enjoying a cup of tea or coffee? Heidi’s Alm Hütte chalet is the perfect base for a flexible summer holiday in Austria. Within fifteen minutes you can be standing beside Europe's highest (tiered) waterfall, the Krimmler waterfalls. And the WasserWunderWelt theme park, near the waterfalls, is a great place to visit with children. You could take a trip to the Blausee, or board the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn railway to explore the surrounding villages, or even enjoy a day trip to the town of Zell am See.
